![]() Usually it measures once a day and that value is then posted for the next 24 hours. You can't give a command to measure "now". It shows the battery voltage at the last time the device measured it. I removed one start of the possible 5 because the remote monitoring using the iPhone app is really very basic. Although the instructions clearly state that the 5 GHz transmitter should be turned off, I was lazy and skipped that part, yet the device connected to my Linksys Velop WIFI network immediately. I downloaded the app to my iPhone and i could connect to the device with the first try. Mechanically the installation was not a problem at all. I've read info on its difficult installation, especially that of the app and its link to the device via WIFI. I bought this item for remote monitoring of a car's battery status. Overall, this product is wonderful, you just have to get past that enormous obstacle of getting them connected. You can check your voltages from anywhere and not have to be within a few feet like you would with a Bluetooth device. These are advantageous over similar products as these use WiFi and not Bluetooth. That would probably sell many more of these. That would be a very simple addition and multiply the usefulness by 10 fold. ![]() Like I said, I like that the app is plain and simple but it would be nice to have a graphic of the voltage over a period of time. They send an update about every 10 minutes which should be fine for most applications. They even automatically reconnect after removing and reapplying power. Once connected to your WiFi they seem to be solid. It’s not a hardware issue, it’s a software issue and I am sure the cost would be almost nothing to have one of these smart IT guys set down over a cup of coffee and figure out the problem real quick. I don’t understand why they have not addressed such an obvious issue. Surely the manufacturer must know all the difficulties users are having setting these up. The only problem with these, and it is a big one, is the configuration. I just need to know the voltage of remote batteries and it fills that role very well. The app is simple and not much to it but that is a positive in my opinion. Yes, it literally takes an entire day to get one configured. I will start trying to connect the last one next week when I am off work a couple of days. I bought 3 of them and I have managed to get 2 of them connected so far. Firstly, before you do anything else, make sure to kill any and all 5G WiFi you may have broadcasting and then start going through the setup process. You just have to be very patient and try the setup many times and eventually they should connect. There is no consistent method that works. They are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get set up. These monitors are very useful IF you can ever get them configured.
